even 은 언제 쓰이나? 

David은 뭔가 내가 어마어마한걸 얘기할테니 놀라지말아라! 하는 경고 정도라고 함

1) even + 명사

even though 이건 이미 발생한일을 얘기할때

even if 이건 conditional 한 상황

if나 though의 경우엔 뒤에 완전한 문장이 와야됨

부정문을 강조할땐 not even을 씀

simple past vs. present perfect

현재에 영향을 끼친다? 이건 좀 나한테는 이해하기 어려운 말인것 같고

simple past --> 구체적으로 과거의 특정 한 지점을 지칭함

present perfect --> 보다 일반적인, 시간에 상관없는 과거의 이벤트를 설명

이러다보니 우리말로 번역하면 모두 과거시제로 번역이 되어서 뉘앙스가 잘 와닿지 않는것 같음

과거에 뭔가 일어나서 내가 지금도 그걸 하고있을때. (이런게 영향을 끼치는것) 이럴땐 현재완료 써야겠고

I've been a writer. 난 작가다. 과거에 작가가 됐고 지금도 작가를 하고있다?

전자는 과거형에만 쓰임.

earlier 는 확실한 reference point가 있을 때 

e.g.,) earlier than Friday

multicultural people 이렇게 줄여서 ㅋㅋㅋㅋ

start 뒤에는 infinitive 인가 gerund인가

결론은 둘 다 올 수 있다.

다만 진행형으로 시작할 때는 infinitive를 써야 한다. 왜? -ing form이 연속해서 나오면 이상하니까.

e.g.,) I am starting to do something~~ 이런식

whine 징징대다

it was exhausting. I am exhausted.

annoy, excite, amaze, bore, interest, 등등? 실수하지 말것.

- beat yourself up 자책하다

- over your mistake

J is being ~~~   이건 뭔가 일시적인 상태를 묘사할 때 쓰임

Jordan is being nice / mean / sensitive / lazy /  a jerk   <--- 원래 안그랬는데 요새 좀 이런상태야

Jordan is being tired / angry / happy  <--- 이런 status, emotion 한 것들은 이미 temporary 한 것들 쓰면안됨

Jordan is being outgoing / beautiful <--- 이런 lasting adjective 들 역시 쓰면 안됨

out of shape 위에 것의 정 반대

stay / keep in shape 상태를 유지하고 있어.

gain 2kg weight (get 이 아니라 gain)
