나라 이름 앞에 the를 붙이는 것들은 거의 없다. 일단 위의 것들.
미국도 America 앞에는 the를 안붙이지만 USA 앞엔 the 를 붙이고
우리나라도 Korea 앞엔 the를 안붙이지만 The republic of Korea 여기엔 the 가 있음.
sports team --> the 붙임. the Chicago Bulls, the LA Dodgers
the University of Texas, the university of Tokyo 이런식으로 the ~~ of ~~ 꼴은 거의 다 the 들어가는듯.
Korea University --> 이럴땐 the 안씀
permission --> 어떠한 관사도 안씀.
moon --> 고유명사가 아님...
news --> uncountable
산 --> the 안붙임. Mt. Everest, Mt. 백두
산맥 --> the 붙임. the Rocky Mountains.
도시이름 --> 관사 없음. the Seoul, The Busan ㄴㄴ 근데 예외로 the Hague 헤이그는 the를 붙이던데..
거리 --> 52nd street 관사 없음. 근데 다른 경우 the 52nd person 이렇게 관사 사용 가능
go to the movies --> idiom 영화관에 가다 the 붙임.
인공적인 이름, 행성 이름, 엔 the 를 붙이지 않음.
게르니카, 플루토, 새턴 등등 moon 은 a moon, two moons 등이 가능함.
Earth는 the를 붙일수도 안붙일수도 있음.
근데 Earth는 지면 이라는 뜻도 있으니까 the Earth 라고 해 주는게 조금 더 정확하게 지칭하는 방법인 것 같음.
Beatles 는? the 없이 그냥 Beatles 하면 딱정벌레랑 헷갈릴수도 있으니 the Beatles 하는거군 ^오^
지명에서의 the. 도시이름 나라이름이 아니라 지역을 나타낼 때
